Contradictions on my naive mind

I think zero is a complicated number.

An integer that has no value. Its purpose is to signify nothing. But nothing is something. Zero distinguishes between the number 8 and 8,000,000. So, having no value actually holds some worth. Now, I ask, if worthlessness is something, and nothing is something, what is something? Or, a less vague question, what is value?

The various definitions on google all share one common concept regarding this definition; value is tied to importance. Hence, worth. My naive question; is having no value linked to insignificance?

Zero has no value, mathematically. But it is worthy. Anyone can argue-zero has it’s own magnitude.

Nothing is something and something is valuable; it is then important. Even it doesn’t seem so at first sight.
